- Complaint submitted to the Department of Civil Rights and Equity Investigations.
- Title IX Coordinator Reviews Complaint
- Is this a Civil Rights complaint? Are there immediate safety concerns?
- If not, refer to alternative University Authority for review
- If so, assign individual Case Managers to Complainant and Respondent
- Is this a Civil Rights complaint? Are there immediate safety concerns?
- Case Manager invites Complainant to Intake Meeting, where Case Manager reviews the following:
- Rights, Resources and Options (RRO) of Complainant
Investigation Process - Option to Request Supportive Measures and/or Academic Adjustments
- Difference between reporting to law enforcement and university investigations
- Right to Advisor
- Determines jurisdiction and complaint classification
- Rights, Resources and Options (RRO) of Complainant
- Resolution
- Informal Resolution:
- Does Complainant wish to proceed with an Informal Investigation?
- If the answer is “No,” the matter is closed.
- If the answer is “Yes,” the matter is resolved informally and case is closed.
- Does Complainant wish to proceed with an Informal Investigation?
