Case Managers at CREI
The Case Managers in the Office of Civil Rights and Equity Investigations (CREI) are available to support Texas A&M faculty, staff, and students who have been impacted by prohibited conduct. Case management services are offered to both Complainants and Respondents.
Examples of services provided:
- Offer information about the University’s investigation and resolution process, including rights, resources, and options for complainants and respondents;
- Provide assistance with filing a report of prohibited conduct;
- Put a “No Contact” order in place so that parties will not continue to experience prohibited contact during an investigation;
- Facilitate discussions with faculty members to help students reschedule tests or postpone project due dates; drop a class after the Q drop date;
- Explore options for students to change living arrangements and for employees to change work locations in order to reduce the chance of continued contact with the other party. Similar modifications may also be made to parking location, transportation services or class schedules;
- Connect an individual with medical or counseling resources or other community/campus support services;
- Reminders that a Complainant may file criminal charges no matter what action is taken with the university;
- Assist individuals with requesting a disability accommodation to ensure full participation in the investigation and resolution process.
